Software Engineer Java
As a Software Engineer you will be working on a cross-functional feature team using agile methodologies to deliver new requirements and improvements to one or more products. They range from a wireless in flight entertainment system, a state of the art electronic fight bag, a digital document library and authoring system, an enterprise synchronisation platform and real-time flight tracking software.
You will be working alongside talented product managers, software engineers and UX / interface designers. You will be mentoring and training the more junior members of your team. and will be contributing at the highest level to the software design and architecture. You will be responsible for writing automated tests, coding, software configuration and writing documentation. You will help facilitate and improve Agile process.
The server software is built on the JVM and exposes rich RESTful APIs that are consumed by mobile clients, single page web apps and airlines. The server stack includes: Spring, Hibernate, Guice, MySQL, MongoDB. The team build and automate with Gradle and deploy to AWS. The web stack includes: Bootstrap, Sass, AngularJS, Grunt, Bower.
What you need
- 3yrs + experience in a related job using an Agile software lifecycle including TDD, pair programming, short release cycles.
- Experience with at least 1 automated focused scripting language
- Expert knowledge of Java, OO, unit testing
- Experience working on a multi component cloud based architecture
- Full stack web development with a modern web framework
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with git
- iOS and Android
- JVM Languages: Groovy, Scala, Clojure
- NoSQL technologies: MongoDB, Cassandra,
